Get to know Aimee…
Q: What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
A: I won two Blue Peter badges as a child – which at the time felt like the absolute peak of success. I still think they’re one of my greatest achievements.
Q: What’s the best ad campaign you’ve ever seen?
A: If you haven't seen Dumb Ways to Die it’s worth checking out – created by McCann for Metro Trains in Australia. It’s brilliantly simple, incredibly catchy and proves that the best ideas are often the ones you can’t get out of your head for days afterwards.
Q: If you could have dinner with any celebrity, who would it be?
A: Harry Styles. No explanation needed.
Q: What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
A: I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some amazing places and meet incredible people, but completing cancer treatment and then deciding to change careers afterwards was definitely the most daunting – and probably the bravest – thing I’ve done.
Q: What's the most-used app on your phone?
A: Instagram – sending reels to my sisters and falling down the occasional rabbit hole.
Q: How did you come to learn about Proctimise?
A: Through Gordi! We met on our very first day of university 25 years ago and have been close ever since (I was even bridesmaid at her wedding). When she told me about Proctimise and what the team was building, it sounded like exactly the kind of place I wanted to be. We've gone from sitting next to each other in lectures to sitting next to each other in the office, all these years later.
Q: What’s your role at Proctimise, and what excites you most about it?
A: Head of Agency Partnerships. I love meeting new people so it’s pretty much the perfect role for me – I get to chat for a living while discovering brilliant agencies and the work they’re doing.
Q: How did you get into your career field?
A: I spent 20 years working in the property sector managing teams and developing people. Over time that experience, combined with a love of building relationships, led me into the world of marketing and procurement.
Q: What’s your favourite project or achievement in your career so far?
A: Seeing where people are now who I recruited, trained and mentored earlier in their careers. Watching them grow and go on to achieve amazing things is definitely my idea of success.
Q: What do you hope to achieve or bring to Proctimise?
A: Strong relationships, a deep understanding of agencies and how they work, and hopefully plenty of energy and enthusiasm along the way.
Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone joining Proctimise?
A: Be curious and ask lots of questions – some of the most interesting insights come from the conversations you didn’t expect to have.
Rapid Fire round!
Q: Early-mornings or Late-nights?
A: Late Nights
Q: Sandcastle or Snowman?
A: Sandcastle
Q: Eat-in or Dine-out?
A: Dine-out, I hate cooking!
Q: Text or Call?
A: Call
Q: Selfie or Group photo?
A: Group Photo
